Shawn Addicott Addiction Services is a Kitchener-based private practice dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of substance use and recovery. Founded by Shawn Addicott, certified addiction counsellor, and person in long-term recovery, the service offers compassionate, practical, and evidence-informed support for real-life transformation.

With over a decade of lived experience in recovery and professional training in social services and addiction counselling, Shawn brings both heart and skill to his work. Since beginning his own recovery journey in 2010, he has remained actively involved in 12-step programs, faith-based recovery groups, and peer mentorship. His practice is rooted in empathy, respect, and the belief that sustainable recovery is possible for anyone.

Shawn holds formal education in Social Service Work and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). He also holds certifications in trauma-informed care and has extensive experience supporting individuals in community mental health, justice-involved programs, and transitional housing environments. His services include one-on-one counselling, relapse prevention planning, emotional and practical court support, and help navigating the first steps into recovery.
