Addiction Therapy
One-on-one counselling to understand the root causes of addiction and build a sustainable path forward.

If addiction is taking over your life, your relationships, or your future, you're not alone.
I've been where you are, and I help people who feel out of control find stability, clarity, and a real way forward.
Maybe you wake up every day telling yourself things will be different, but by night the cravings, stress, or loneliness take over again.
Maybe you're exhausted from hiding the double life. Maybe your family is losing trust, work is slipping, or court pressure is getting heavier. Maybe you feel one mistake away from losing everything.
You've tried stopping on your own.
You've promised yourself this was the last time.
You've said you'd get help when things settled down, but they never do.
Right now, you're stuck in a cycle you can't break alone.
It's okay to reach a breaking point. Change is on the horizon.
You're overwhelmed, scared, and out of tools. That can change.

I'm Shawn Addicott, a Registered Social Service Worker and addiction therapist in Kitchener Waterloo. Long before I became a therapist, I fought my own battle with addiction. I know the shame, the fear, the panic at 3 a.m. and the feeling that you've messed up your last chance.
I also know what recovery looks like when it's done one honest step at a time.
I combine lived experience, clinical training, recovery work, and frontline crisis support to help men rebuild their lives with real structure and real hope.
This is a calm, honest, judgment free space where you don't have to pretend or apologize.
